Melanesian Islands Rainforest Conservation Alliance "MIRCA"

The Melanesian Islands Rainforest Conservation Alliance (MIRCA) was formed to help preserve the remaining areas of tropical rainforest in the islands of Melanesia, to the north and east of Australia. Many areas within the Melanesian Arc have some of the highest levels of biodiversity and endemism anywhere on Earth. We work closely with local people to ensure the protection of these rainforests.
